At Loughborough we understand that it can be difficult to combine studying with elite level performance, and so the Loughborough Students Sports Foundation (LSSF) was set up to help talented student athletes succeed in both their sporting and academic development.

We offer an unrivalled opportunity for student athletes to develop their talent and gain a prestigious degree. The Performance Sport team are here to help you, but to successfully do both takes determination and hard work!

You can apply for a scholarship as a prospective or current student. If you are a prospective student please don't apply until you have confirmed your place (so after exam results if you have a conditional offer). The closing date is 24 September 2010, and no application will be considered until then. It is to your advantage to leave your application until September, as your form will be up to date when we review it.

TASS

Loughborough is also a hub for the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme (TASS), a Government-funded sports scholarship programme. The scholarship funding allows student athletes to get additional specialist coaching, strength & conditioning support, sport science support, access to medical services (including physiotherapy) and lifestyle mentoring.

We have a great deal of experience servicing TASS scholars studying at Loughborough and have provided support to hundreds of TASS athletes across a wide variety of sports since the scheme began.

TASS scholars are nominated for the scheme via their sport’s Governing Body. Each National Governing Body will have a person responsible for TASS scholarship enquiries.
